"Questioning why I stay with the company? I’ve spoken with my agent 5 times in the last month about switching my coverage to a new car. I paid 6 months up front and then another $300 for the coverage change to a larger vehicle. Was just told my coverage was fine for the next 6 months but I got another bill in the mail? Is it time for me to start shopping around or are they going to give me competent answers? Also consistently being gaslit by Kristin is the reason I’m canceling the policy. Thanks for 10 years of subpar service Rich!"
"I understand frustration with the cost associated with having insurance. Unfortunately, because of the increase in parts, labor, and lawsuits, the cost to insure has gone up. "I’m writing this review after multiple problems with State Farm. I was a loyal customer for over 40 years. At this point I think they should change their motto, "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there." Not any more! My first problem is when I got a letter stating they were going to cancel my home insurance unless I got a new roof. I hired a certified Home Inspector who did a 4-point inspection with wind mitigation. I had 30-year shingles put on 12-years ago. There is nothing wrong with my roof. The argument from State Farm was that is a shingle warranty and my roof was over 10-years old and they stand firm, replace the roof or get canceled. The Home Inspector said I should have another 12 to 13 years left on the roof. I changed insurance companies on my home with a company who accepted the inspection. The second problem was with 2 automobiles. I returned from vacation on a Saturday morning on June 21st to find 2 letters stating that my insurance was cancelled as of June 17th which were dated June 13th. I called the office to ask why. I was told that a fax was received from Allstate requesting cancellation. I have never spoken to Allstate mainly because they are reducing their footprint in Florida. As it appears State Farm is doing as well, i.e. the roof. While talking to customer service they said that it looked like I requested the cancellation which I did not. Apparently, if I don't like someone I can request their insurance be cancelled while they are on vacation with a random fax that will be shredded the next day. How STUPID is that? The first problem is with State Farm trying what amounts to insurance fraud in reverse by trying to make me replace a perfectly good roof. The second problem with the vehicles is the local agent’s fault. Why would you act on a random fax without talking to the client. What if I were using my vehicle on my vacation and got into an accident. There was no call, text or email about the cancellation. Only the letters in the mail while I was away from home. They said the fax was shredded. I can add 2+2 and think that sounds like an excuse for a bad business practice or a mistake. I called State Farm Customer Service on Saturday as agents do not work weekends. I was told that I have to contact the local agent who is not there until Monday. I asked about just starting a new policy, which I couldn’t due because of the situation. Which didn’t make sense because I can start one with another company online. The bottom line is State Farm drove away a customer with bad business practices. I no longer have insurance with them for home or auto. Just wishful thinking, I hope you go bankrupt and I want my one star back!"

"My wife and I have been with Richard Morris’ office for years. Our agent, Diana Hillyard always goes above and beyond to get us the best rates and advise us on the best coverages. She is always looking out for us, making us feel like her only clients. The most recent example was when she noticed that we had not been getting a wind mitigation discount on our homeowner’s policy that should have taken effect in 2019. Diana sat on hold with the corporate office until she was able to speak to someone about the matter and ultimately was able to confirm that we should have been receiving the discount and was able to secure a full refund for years of overpayment - to the tune of over $2500!! "I went with my mother (who is their client) about two weeks ago and was horrified to hear the front desk girl arguing with a client. After she got off the phone, she began talking about the client to her colleagues. Well, other clients were in the office listening to her talk about the person on the other end of the phone and it was so embarrassing for those of us waiting for assistance. I hope Rich Morris is reading this and understands that this hurts business to have staff act so unprofessional, especially around other clients."
